International Languages

The International Languages Department offers a wide variety of programs, both curricular and extra-curricular, in French and Spanish. Students in grade 9 will study French at the Academic or Applied level. In grade 10, students may continue with French at the Academic level, and may also choose to begin Spanish. Both languages are offered through grade 12; French at the University Preparation level and Spanish at the Open level. New for 2003-2004: Languages for Travel – Spanish and Italian. This is an introductory course for students in grade 11 who wish to take a language course with a specific focus on learning to communicate in a variety of travel situations.
