COMMENCEMENT INFORMATION FOR 2007 GRADS

 

 

When?

THURSDAY OCTOBER 18th,  2007 at 7:30 PM

 

Grads must arrive by 7pm to be staged for the procession.

 

Where?

LIVING ARTS CENTRE - HAMMERSON HALL

4141 Living Arts Drive, Mississauga

Underground parking is complimentary at the Living Arts Centre.

 

Who?

Those who achieve their OSSD during the 2006/2007 school year, including summer school 2007. 
If you have taken a summer school (summer 2007), ILC, or night school course, you must inform guidance in order to make sure the credit has been received, your diploma is granted, and that you are invited to Commencement.

                                                                                                                                                           

Guests

You are allowed to invite two guests to the ceremony.  Seating is limited.  The doors open for guests at 7:00 pm and there is no reserved seating. 
Your guests must have their tickets.  If you require more tickets, there are limited extras available.
To receive extra tickets, call the school, beginning in September,  at  (905-824-1790) to inquire about availability.

 

Invitations

These will be mailed to your home address in September 2007 and each invitation will include two passes for your guests. 
If you have not received your invitation by September 17th, please contact the school to see if you should have been invited.

 

Dress

Semi-Formal.  Graduates will not be wearing gowns. 
Most students choose to dress up for the occasion to recognize the importance of graduation to themselves and their parents.

 

Scholarships and Awards

If you accept a Scholarship or Award from outside the school, we would like to announce this at the ceremonies.  Please forward to the school a copy of the letter you received from the institution, with your signature giving us permission to announce the award.

 

Grad Portraits

All Graduates at the ceremonies  will have an opportunity to have their portrait taken after they receive their diploma.  These quality images will be posted, after Commencement, on the school web site with password access only.  Permission forms and details will be in your invitations, at the ceremonies, and on the school web site.
